2nd June 2004 - Kings Sutton
An after work move to Kings Sutton for two
workings powered by 37's.
6th June 2004 - Dead Brush
at Banbury
On the 2nd, 47145 worked an empty stock move
from Neville Hill to Bicester, but failed at Banbury where it could still be
found four days later.
7th June 2004 - WCML Stuff
Spent the evening by the WCML between Rugby
and Nuneaton. Plenty of stuff to photograph with a pair of 37's on 4S45, a 47 on
the Holyhead, and a few 87's, which by this stage in their careers could not be
ignored as Pendolinos were steadily taking over.
12th-13th June 2004 - Odds
and Ends
Saturday was spent doing the Nuneaton drags
where a 60 on a late running tank train was the only train captured in sun.
Sunday saw a move to Ruddington for 37075, and then a quick dash to Cossington
for 66200 in ex works condition (boring!)
19th June 2004 - Tractor
Tours and a Tug
Started at Kidderminster for 37689 and 37667
on a Swindon to Holyhead tour, then a mad dash over to Sutton Bridge Jcn for
37308 and 37114 on a Bimringham International to Aberystwyth tour. The latter
shot was very lucky. As I drove into Shrewsbury there were hailstones bouncing
off of my car and I had to have my headlights on, but by the time the train
came, it had cleared out slightly and the train was nailed in sun. 6V75 followed
immediately afterwards and was also in sun.
25th June 2004 - Evening
Boredom
I was bored so went up to Cossington for a
while. The only loco that passed was a boring shed on a rake of stone empties.
