2nd January 2005 - Tail End
of the GCR Christmas Gala
First sunny shot of the year with 45231 being
nailed at Kinchley Lane.
8th January 2005 - Looking
for 37's
Spent much of the day looking for 37's on
engineer's trains. Several were found that could not be photographed, but a pair
at Cathiron were well parked for a photo but permission and an escort were
required to get to them. Also managed to take a look at the scrapyard at
Kingsbury where a couple of demic 08's were pictured.
22nd / 23rd January 2005 -
East Coast Whistler
40145 was working tours on the ECML on both
days of this weekend. Saturday's effort involved attempting to photograph the 40
at Westry near March. A 66 on a stone train in front of the 40 was nailed in
good light, but alas the light died as the 40 appeared. The following day saw
better luck with the 40 being nailed at High Dyke in banging winter light.

Central featuring two 'Black 5's.
29th January 2005 - Tractors
to Pwllheli
An early morning visit to Birmingham
International to photograph 37427 and 37669 on a railtour to Pwllheli. A loco
change took place at International with the train arriving behind a 67 and
departing behind the 37's.
