1st-2nd April 2006 -
Cromptons and the Northern Belle
Having worked a tour to Aberystwyth on the
last day of March, 33029 and 33207 spent the weekend stabled in Derby station. I
tried a night shot on Saturday night (which wasn't lit too well), but had more
success with an early morning shot at Derby on the Sunday morning. I also
managed to bag the Northern Belle on the Saturday while it was on a Birmingham
International to York working.
5th April 2006 -
Freightliner on the Coalville Branch
With Freightliner having won the aggregates
traffic from Bardon Hill from EWS, I took a trip up to Bagworth to photograph
the empties from Angerstein Wharf and managed to get the Hinksey to Stud Farm
while I was waiting.
7th April 2006 - 'One' Stock
Move
47813 worked a stock move from Derby to
Norwich, which was duly recorded at Cossington and the Syston bypass.
8th-9th April 2006 - Local
Tours and Stuff
Decided to chase 'Leander' on a railtour on
the Saturday (only managed one decent shot of it though). There were one or two
other bits knocking about too, including 47826 stabled in Derby station on the
Sunday morning.
14th-18th April 2006 -
Easter Weekend
Odds and ends taken during the Easter
weekend.
25th April 2006 - Grid Move
Made an after work move to Derby for the
Fastline Grid on a training run and got an unexpected shot of 47714.
28th April 2006 - EMRPS Grid
Charter
Having been robbed of sunlight for a previous
photo charter with 56057 at the Nene Valley Railway, this re-run was thankfully
blessed with some top light. Big thanks to the NVR staff and to Neil Boden for a
top day out with plenty of sunny shots.
29th April 2006 - Tugs!
A day spent locally around Burton and
Leicester. There were class 60's on nearly everything, although only four of
them were captured in decent light.
