50049 'Defiance', Newport, 13th May 2006 (5N25 1858 Newport to Cardiff Central)

As the guard blew his whistle for the 50's to depart, a 66 approached a red signal on the centre road, a 158 departed platform 2 and a 67 on a footex went through the other centre road. I really didn't think I was going to get this shot, but for some reason the 50's didn't depart immediately after getting the whistle, and the driver of the 66 stopped short thus allowing a clear shot of the 50 departing. I don't know if the driver did this on purpose or not, but it was very much appreciated!
