2006 - Cossington
A handful of photos from one of my local
photo locations.
3rd June
2006 - 40145 on tour to Whitby
Some photographs taken while chasing 40145 to
Whitby when it worked a railtour from Crewe along with 37229. During the 40's
layover at Whitby, there was time to pull in a couple of workings at the nearby
NYMR.
9th
June 2006 - Friday Off Work
I should have been in Scotland for the last
37 on the beds, but this trip was cancelled at the eleventh hour due to
unavoidable circumstances. However, with the day booked off work and a mega
forecast, I had a top day out locally with a couple of mates.
10th
June 2006 - Market Harborough, Dunham and the S&C
An early start captured 47826 departing
Market Harborough on the diesel leg of a railtour. Then it was off to Dunham for
the 57 on the Holyhead and 47245 on a Glenrothes to Chester SRPS railtour.
Finally, having realised that a sun on the nose shot was on at Sheriff's Brow on
the S&C, we made the move north to nail 47851 returning north with the SRPS
railtour. The black 66 at Settle Junction on the way home was a bonus.
17th
June 2006 - EMRPS Photo Charter at Llangollen with 37901
A very pleasant day at the Llangollen Railway
with 37901 on a photo charter. We lost the middle of the day to cloud, but the
morning and evening sessions allowed some great photo opportunities. Thanks are
due to the staff at Llangollen, the ever helpful Llangollen Diesel Group and to
Steve (the loco's owner) for their efforts during the day. Thanks also to the
photographers who supported the event.
