4th November 2006 - DRS
Anglia on a Mission
Another day in East Anglia chasing the water
cannons.
5th November 2006 - VAMBAC
Coronation
In what can best be described as a mega
desparate move, I made the 285 mile round trip to Blackpool to photograph
Coronation 304 on specials and an illuminations tour. As well as getting the
Coronation, I also got the unexpected bonus of Blackpool & Fleetwood 40
which was working specials. Big thanks to Alan (the driver of 304) for the gen
about 304's workings, and for pulling up alongside 40 at Bispham.
11th November 2006 - Midland
Railway Centre Photo Charter
An EMRPS photo charter at Swanwick Junction
station at the Midland Railway Centre. This event was organised to raise some
money towards a new set of batteries for D212. The evening didn't quite go as
planned, but we did manage some nice shots of 37314 and D212 by the old
Kettering signal box, and of 37314 in the station. Many thanks to the Class 40
Appeal lads who battled all night with a brake fault on the 37, and to the
signalman who stayed on way beyond his 1030pm booked finish. Thanks too to the
participating photographers for their support and their patience.
18th November 2006 - Bits
and Bobs
A 47 hauled railtour, a few Nottingham trams
and an arty glint shot of 20227.
19th November 2006 - Local
Stuff
Some local Sunday stuff which included an
unusual stock move on the Midland Main Line.
25th November 2006 - Failed
Quest for 37229
37229 was on hire to EWS and working a
container train from Felixstowe to Peterborough following the failure of an EWS
class 66. So, I took the risk and journeyed to Peterborough for a night shot in
the hope that it might come to a stand at the back of the station. However, in
the event, the 37 got the feathers as it approached the peg and didn't stop. So
all I have to show for my visit are these four shots. The shot of 66001 is
taken pretty much where I was hoping for 37229 to pull up.
26th November 2006 - Bombs
Away!!!
Nowt on the telly, so it was off to Worksop
for the pair of 'bombs' on the water cannon.
