3rd March 2007 - Whistler at
Stoke and a Photo Charter at Chasewater
An early start to catch a night shot of 40145
at Stoke on Trent was followed by an afternoon and evening photo charter at the
Chasewater Railway with three tank engines courtesy of Russ Hillier. The 101 DMU
was not part of the charter, but I couldn't resist putting a bit of light on it
for a quick phot. Thanks to Russ for arranging the charter, and thanks to the
Chasewater volunteer who put the lights on inside the 101.
9th March 2007 - GCR Photo
Charter
An EMRPS photo shoot at the Great Central
Railway featuring class 47 D1705 and class 45 D123. Many thanks to those who
supported the event, thanks to the volunteers and staff at the GCR and to the
hard working EMRPS Lighting Crew for yet another top lighting job.
10th March 2007 - Twenty
Twenty Vision
A Pathfinder railtour from Crewe to East
Anglia was passing through my local patch, so I chose Rearsby for a shot and was
rewarded with a nice bit of early morning sun.
17th-18th March 2007 - A
Green 47 and a Black 60
A brief call in at the Churnet Valley Railway
on Saturday secured a picture of D1842 shunting stock, then on Sunday a quick
dash out after a family 'Mothers Day' dinner nailed 60007 on a northbound
engineers train.
27th March 2007 - Beamish
Open Air Museum
A Russ Hillier photo charter using Andrew
Barclay 0-6-0ST 2361 'WST' also afforded the opportunity to look around this
very interesting place. The fact that the museum was open to the public meant
that the tramway was in use with Oporto 196 on driver training and Sunderland 16
in passenger service. Many photos were taken of the trams, the steam loco used
in the photo charter and the Puffing Billy replica which was in light steam.
31st March 2007 - Midland
Railway Centre DMU's and Crich Tramway Museum
I visited the Midland Railway Centre in the
morning to speak about photo charters, not realising that it was DMU day. So I
took a few pictures of the DMU's, had a chat with a few people and then spent
the afternoon at Crich Tramway Museum. In addition to the three trams in
service, there were a few extra trams running round on crew training duties.
