December 2009 - Whizzo
A trip over to the ECML for a backlit shot of
D1015 on a Kings Cross to Scarborough railtour. A couple of shots from Kibworth
on the way home also included.

December 2009 - Pretendolino
90020 was out on the Virgin West Coast loco
hauled set (now painted like a Pendolino), and I headed across to Birmingham
International for a night shot. A couple of slightly differing angles included
below.

December 2009 - Swanwick Photo Charter
A photo charter at Swanwick at the Midland
Railway Centre. A pleasant but cold evening with plenty of classic traction
posed in scenes reminiscent of the 1960's / 1970's and 1980's. Highlight was
'Western' D1048 'Western Lady' and the fantastic looking 47401 and 45108.
Unfortunately a 'power out' late on meant we didn't get the 'Western' posed on
the freight, but there were plenty of other shots to be had. A massive thanks to
Paul Warden of the MCTA who put in a lot of work putting this event together,
and thanks to all the groups who let us use their locos for the evening. Once
again thanks go to the lighting team who did a super job, and thanks to all the
photographers who supported the event.

An early morning visit to Nottingham to take
a few night shots of Nottingham trams.

December 2009 - Nottingham Trams By Day (with a sprinkling of snow)
With a light dusting of snow on the ground, I
headed up to Nottingham for a few shots of the trams in sunshine and snow.

December 2009 - Night Choppers
After staying in all day due
to crap weather, I decided to head over to Derby for a night shot of 20304 and
20301 returning to Barrow Hill with a railtour from Hastings.
