Ex-LNER A4 'Pacific' 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' powers into London King's Cross with a 1Z08 charter train from York. Although heading
towards the buffer stops, a small amount of power is needed to keep the train moving as the back of the train is still on the climb out of
Gasworks Tunnel. It was nice to see an A4 on its old stamping ground arriving at 'The Cross', although with all the modern features in the
station and bystanders filming on their mobile phones, this is more a 'mainline steam in 2024' shot than an accurate recreation. I took a
well timed trip on the downward escalator to get this shot, maintaining a bit of height while making sure the train wasn't obscured by the
overhead electrification.
