Freight started to flow through the
Channel Tunnel before the dedicated class 92s were approved for use, so as a
stop gap, SNCF class
BB22200s were used. They received Railfreight Distribution decals and BR
standard yellow fronts. Here we see 22403 and 22404 arriving
into Dollands Moor Yard with a short intermodal from France, while 22402 and
22380 can be seen stabled in the background.
