Abbey Park Road depot was the main depot and worksops for the Leicester tram system. There was enough room here to house 198 tramcars. After the closure of the tram system, this building was converted into a bus depot by Leicester Corporation, a purpose which it still serves to this day, although the old Leicester Corporation is now history and the depot is now operated by the First Group. The right hand end of the building has been demolished following fire damage in the 1990's.
